Consecrated in 1951, under the banner of
the United Grand Lodge of England ,
our Freemasons Lodge meets regularly on the second Thursday of every month at
7:30pm during the summer and 7:00pm in Winter.
At our latest Installation meeting W.Bro. Gerrie Du Plooy was officially recognised
as Master of the Lodge on Saturday the 27th of March 2010 by the Assistant District Grand Master,
W.Bro. John Ackerman, in a well attended and excellently performed ceremony.
It should also be noted that all Brethren holding Office for the ensuing year attended the meeting, and were Installed by W.Bro. Du Plooy, including five of our newer Master Masons who now hold the Offices from Inner Guard up to Senior Warden. A great sign of sustained growth for our Lodge!
W.Bro. Gerrie Du Plooy is occupying the Chair of King Solomon for the first time in his Masonic career, following in the footsteps of many worthy predecessors. For a list of
Brethren who have served as Master of our Lodge since it first
opened, click here: Past Masters.
